Hungarian Customs Seize Counterfeit SD Memory Cards, Estimated Retail Value $6,000
Hungarian Customs seized various capacity microSD memory cards originating from China for importation into the country by a local retailer in Budapest. SD-3C LLC (“SD-3C”) then filed a complaint against the retailer for trademark infringement.
In lieu of further legal action by SD-3C, the retailer agreed to forfeit the counterfeit goods for destruction. On behalf of SD-3C, a representative was present and witnessed the destruction of the counterfeit SD Memory Cards, which took place at a local waste management facility on or around April 26, 2021.
