Japan Customs Confiscate Counterfeit SD Memory Cards, Estimated Retail Value $7,600.
Japanese Customs Officials confiscated approximately 1,900 counterfeit SD memory cards infringing on the SD trademark. The counterfeit goods seized represent the export of infringing products leaving Shenzhen, China for importation into Japan.
In lieu of further legal action, the importer forfeited the goods for destruction under the supervision of Japan Customs Officials.
