Japan Customs Confiscate Counterfeit SD Memory Cards and USB Card Readers, Estimated Retail Value $16,000.
Japan Customs Officials, located in Amagasaki, confiscated approximately 800 counterfeit SD memory cards and USB card readers infringing on the microSD trademark. The counterfeit goods seized represent the export of infringing products leaving Guangdong Province in China for importation into Japan.
In lieu of further legal action, the importer forfeited the goods for destruction under the supervision of Japan Customs Officials.
