Japan Customs Seize Counterfeit SD Memory Cards, Estimated Retail Value $30,000.
Japan Customs Officials located at Kansai Airport in Osaka, seized 500 counterfeit 256GB SD memory cards entering the country from Shanghai, China. SD-3C LLC (“SD-3C”) filed a complaint against the importer for trademark infringement.
Japan Customs Officials later informed SD-3C the importer forfeited the counterfeit SD memory cards for destruction in lieu of any further legal action.
