March 2015: Regional Court in Stuttgart Germany Fines Importer $8,329 for Trademark Infringement

On or about November 21, 2014, German Customs seized 526 microSD memory card and adapter sets and 94 USB card readers being imported into the town of Kornwestheim by a local citizen. SD-3C LLC ("SD-3C") then filed a complaint against the individual for trademark infringement.

According to the final judgement rendered on March 17, 2015 by the Regional Court of Stuttgart, the individual was found guilty of infringing SD-3C's intellectual property rights. As a result, the individual was fined and required to reimburse SD-3C $8,329 (approximately €7,903) for damages.
